About Makoatls;
What is a Makoatl?
A Makoatl is a terrestrial shark-dragon hybrid recently discovered
off the coast of the Greenland sea. They have the powerful tail
and jaws of a shark, with the body and (occasional) horns of a dragon.
They usually have manes, and are covered in thick coats of fur-
adapted to keeping out the cold in their native habitat.
They live on a diet of mainly meat and fish, and are known to be vicious
hunters! Despite this attitude toward their prey, however, they
are very protective and mothering to their offspring,
as well as to each other the majority of the time.

Biography;
- ❝We only share a mother.
My father looked like a mess of scribbles, his looked like the sky. Both of them skipped out on us, so that just shows you that our mother hadfantastic taste in men. Was she a good mother though? Depends which of us you ask. Ask him, and he'll tell you she was the sweetest women, who tried to support him with any means possible. As me though, and I'll tell you the truth. She was a trampy women who played favorites, and it wasn't me. I was living with a friend, while he was living with her.
But that was before, and now it's just us. He's my only kin, so we have to love each other. It's just us.❞
- ❝A mother? I didn't have one growing up. My friend did though, and she was probably the greatest women ever to be honest. Once my mother skipped out on me in kindergarten, I told my friend and she told her mom. Never would have thought in a million years that she'd consider taking me in, let alone actually do it. But she did, even though she was a single mother. I won't say it was perfect growing up, or that we always had enough to eat together, but y'know, it worked.
One day when I was about 16, I got called down to the counselor's office. Again. I wasn't an angel in school, so that means I had a serious blast. Anyway it wasn't anything out of the ordinary to see me down in there, or the principals office, or in detention. But this time, the counselor had a solemn look on her face. She told me to sit down, and she gave me a pillow. Weird. Told me to wait a moment, while they were waiting on one other boy. I started cracking jokes at her like usual to make the time pass and she snapped at me with tears in her eyes, saying this is no laughing matter. Right then, some kid walked in. I was pretty sure he was the mako that I shoved some fries down his shirt earlier that week.
"Oh, you." I stood up and started walking towards him. "You're the reason I'm in here? Honestly you little wimp they just fall right out! I mean they're french fries, oh my god, like how lame can you be you little-" The counselor grabbed me and sat me down, the tears now falling from her face. "Alstair, Cepheus," Cepheus? What a stupid name... "I don't wish to be the one to tell you boys this but... oh." She paused to blow her nose. "Okay I'll just say it. There was... an accident-" Shay? "and your mother was in it. There was alcohol driving and the whole works. I'm sorry boys, I know your fathers aren't around so you both have to be strong for each other. You're all the other has now. Social services are coming to put you both into foster homes tonight, and they'll be here shortly. I'm terribly, deeply sorry, boys. Be strong brothers." Abruptly she left, a trail of tissues behind her. He looked at me, and I looked at him. Together, we both echoed one another. "Brothers?"❞
