About Makoatls;
What is a Makoatl?
A Makoatl is a terrestrial shark-dragon hybrid recently discovered
off the coast of the Greenland sea. They have the powerful tail
and jaws of a shark, with the body and (occasional) horns of a dragon.
They usually have manes, and are covered in thick coats of fur-
adapted to keeping out the cold in their native habitat.
They live on a diet of mainly meat and fish, and are known to be vicious
hunters! Despite this attitude toward their prey, however, they
are very protective and mothering to their offspring,
as well as to each other the majority of the time.

Biography;
- ❝"Brothers?" "There's no way man." The mako across from me said. I had to agree. Perhaps the Ms. Hume was mistaken. Maybe his mother died, not mine. My mom hasn't ever been around alcohol since that day, she promised. "Yeah," I replied. "We don't even look alike. Besides, I see my mother every day, I think I'd know if she was sneaking off to see a secret brother."
He scoffed at my remark. "Please kid, I haven't even met my mother, or my father for that matter either." He looked a bit spiteful about that. Can't say I blame him. Just then, Ms. Hume came back in, eyes bright red and mascara dripping down her face. "Oh, the police officers came to drop off this for you, seeing as your mother has no use for it anymore." With a massive sob, she handed me the envelope and closed the door again, leaving us in there by ourselves.
We could still hear her crying down the hall when he looked at me, and then to the envelope. I cleared my throat. "So uh, should I open it then?" He nodded. "I don't see any harm in it man."
Then I opened it. It was hers.
"No."
The picture. The one she always keeps with her.
No!"
The one of me when I was born with the rip over them.
"NO!"
The other kid ran over then, and took the picture. I screamed at him. "Shut up you twerp!" he lashed at me. He took something out of his pocket and held it up next to her picture. It fit.
I leaned in closer to see. There was my mom, but not my dad. I then looked at the little one wrapped in a blanket, then looked at the boy in front of me. It was him.
"We gotta get out of here... bro." he said with a weak smile. I nodded. The two of us grabbed our stuff and walked out of the school. We never looked back. ❞
